Hi guys, whats the difference between these two engines? performance? mpg? power?, is the difference worthwhile?
Is the gearbox the same?
Can you drive at 70mph on the motorway without a td5 engine screaming?

:rolleyes::rolleyes: not the best intro in the world! Haha theres a 101 threads on here about the differences. In the end it comes down to personal choice really.

I would take a TD5 over a Puma anyday but thats me. I like the TD5 because its pretty easy to work on, not too many electrical things to go wrong and the ones that do are quite cheap.

Ive driven Pumas and just not a fan, i love my 5cyl engine :p

Cheers. I did my paper intro a few posts ago. I didn't forget my manners lol

Wrong section then :p:p

Overall it does come down to what you want to use it for
Its not going to be my daily driver. I have a van for that and a family car. A bit of cruising around, and probably little or no off roading. Just buying one as i think they are a design classic.
