Some great detective work by a good friend (cheers Bill!) shows turbo up to 240.8 Kpa - and seems explanation for 'stutter' as ecu goes into safe mode.......

Suspect pressure unit, wastegate rod or connecting hose - will strip off tomorrow with luck.

Anyhow, Haynes say pressure unit not available separately!! Surely not? Are there other sources if its shot?

Any ideas/knowledge much appreciated! Cheers, A

It's most likely a seized wastegate. Lube it up and work it back and fourth with a pair of molegrips.;)

Ta Ratty - the cam/lever on the turbo housing? I'll start that end anyway and work my way along to the pressure tube. Common prob then? Cheers A
