Symptom;- Poor starting/ cuts out. Now mis-fire
(As per all other threads but.. may be a way to help diagnosing this TD5 Problem? )

After much buggering about n swapping parts;- (Listed at end)
Diagnoses
Removed all glow plugs (4)
Disconnected injector harness so injector could not fire.
Purged fuel (five throttle presses etc)
After purge, cranked motor.
Excessive fuel squirting from pot 2 glow plug hole only
So i know I have a bad seal/injector on pot 2 (and poss 5 as there is no glow plug in pot 5)
Swapped injectors from pot 1 and 2 around renewing copper washers.
Repeated above (didn't bother putting injector cam back on for speed) As i'm testing seal only now!
Upon re test as above pot 2 still leaking fuel So it is the seal at this time of diagnostics
(Used genuine washers/ Used new stretch bolts and torqued to 32Nm had even re torgued to 40)
Had previously re-cut seats. Did not need re-cut seats again just cleaned seats and vacuumed out as all looked clean and smooth/ good
Checked old copper washer from pot 2 for sealing indent, did not look like it had mated 360 deg's

Question.
Is it possible that the injector seat has been re-cut to beyond spec? i.e too deep
The seat does look cut square but hard to check
Am now considering using two washers to pack out. pot 2
Has anyone tried multiple washers?
It it possible that a P15 head is cracked/porous

Parts previously replaced
Original fault Oil level rising.
Swapped injector O rings and Washers.
OK for 2000 miles then as above fault Poor starting cuts out mis-fire
Changed Fuel filter for genuine one. Made sure only one rubber O ring fitted to inner seal!
Changed Air bleed Valve on filter block
Had injectors sent away for testing They said two where faulty and sent back 2 replacements (£250 each plus 3 originals. Testing cost £50 x5 ... Plus VAT! (I could understand one injector failing....)
Changed Crank sensor on bell housing behind/below FPR valve
Changed FPR valve and hoses. as small drip of diesel at rear of pressure regulator.
Checked all unions for leaks. BUT as fuel is at 6-7 bar dismissed that air would be sucked in at that pressure. Checked all connectors on Lower 4 bar side of FPR all dry.
Changed Fuel pump for OEM one.

This then led to removal of injectors again as above

Any advise gratefully received!
Best regards
Mike

yes its possible to cut too deep id think, i wouldnt just add 2 washers as correct nozzle position in combustion chamber is required,15p heads crack ,mine did ,had to replace it after washers didnt cure sump level rising
