I am about to whip out Daisy's injectors to change the seals (I've got the special tool too!). While they are out, how do you clean them?

Ultrasonic cleaner would be your best bet. They aren't normal user serviceable as they are delicate.... and its about if the springs are working at the right pressure...rather than just crud in the end nozzle (which your cleaner would help with)

when I did my seals I cleaned the sealing edge not the tip with a wire tool in my dremel. Sealed better than when I didn't 6 months prior!

Had my injectors out today there was no issue, I just wanted to replace the seals and washers before something does happen.

I didnt get much history with my disco however the injectors were pretty spotless. Since owning it iv fired in shell/bp filtered diesel and millers carbon cleaner from halfords as there was already a few bottles in the disco when i bought it.

Im assuming this has helped keep the injectors in this condition. Worth a try!

Also read a forum where after using additives and better quality diesel there was a slight improvement in mpg.

I also have the egr bypassed.
