TD5 extension loom - making my own

I started modifying an old salvaged loom by doing what was suggested before, adding lengths of wire onto the existing (salvaged) loom. I was planning on relocating the ECU into a box I would have located on the side of the van panel, just behind the driver's seat. When the new loom was ready, I would have just swapped it over.

I got as far as soldering in all of the wires before I gave up. Somewhere in the donor loom there was a continuity fault, and I never took it any further. Still have it somewhere though!

hmmm pondered that, wouldn't that be a bit sluggish inside a IPxx whatever dust and splash proof case, or whatever the standard case is

just wondering

ideally a membrane or bladder at a guess would be the solution to allow atmospheric pressure changes without water ingress

hmmm it's integrated with the MAF

In which case if the ecu does not contain a barometric sensor then it should not need to sense pressure.

Thinking about it I don't remember seeing a barometric sensor when ratty can'd his.
