TD5 does not start after driving long distance

Engine light on dash does not come on.Temp Guadge in red - VDO guadge shows 85 degrees. I starts after 10 to fifteen minutes.Got all the power in the world,drives like a dream but does the same evrytime I stop after a trip.

one way valve in the fuel filter housing.. as u look at the housing the right hand rear union has a rubber one way valve inside ( u will need to unsrew the union and take it off to see or maybe wedged inside the housing hole either way its in that one!! ) if the valve looks to be open slightly ( should be closed ) then this is your cause as when the diesel is warm its flowing back and giving you a lot of air in the system and you cranking the engine over is just bleeding the air out again! you will need to renew the whole housing as you cant get the valves seperate!

My guess is crankshaft sensor but getting it hooked up to a diagnostic may help shed some light on the matter.
