he intends to fit a lift kit and 265/75 mud tyres,,should the roll bars be kept with the lift kit or will they restrict travel?,im not familier with antiroll bars as i have a 1988 90

Yes they will restrict travel but they will also stabalise it. I debated wether I would fit any to my current landy but decided spring assisters would suit me better. When on the road the lack of anti-rollbars is noticeable.

Also a MOT fail.... And even if the tester misses it, your mate would no doubt be in some serious ****ing trouble should he ever have a crash!

no its not if all the brackets are taken off, if it isnt there they cannot test it :D

did it with my disco, handleing was a lot worse and railway lines were a nightmare afterwards :D

Took mine off to clean, paint, and change the bushes and ball joints, as they were clunking and banging at every turn. Only found out it was the rollbars once I'd changed every other suspension bush on the motor.
Drove it for three weeks and forgot to put them back for the MOT but it passed no probs and not even commented on.
Did not really notice any difference but it took me about 3 months to work up the enthusiasm to put them back on.
I dont do extreme off roading in it so dont need mega axle articulation. I do all my playing in my clients 4x4s in the Sahara so its out of my system when I get back home. :D
