Has anyone ever fitted one of the Defender nudge bars that can have spotlights mounted to them on a Discovery 1 bumper?

This style:

I'm sure it will physically fit as there's a flat surface ontop of the front bumper and there are smaller D1 fitment bars that mount there that can have spotlights mounted on the top.

I've tried looking online for images of anyone having done this but haven't found any.

The bolt patterns to the chassis are different.
Unsure if the hoop will be to high as well
Bolt into chassis directions
Landrover vertical
Disco/ Range Rover horizontal

The flat top surface of the front bumper on mine has already had some random holes drilled in it by someone. Drilling more to bolt this one on instead of the ones intended for discoveries would be easy enough.

It's whether it looks okay, doesn't stick out too much, isn't too tall etc. as you say.

Bull bars for the D1 like the previous RR slotted through the under bumper spoiler to bolt onto the leading edge of the chassis.
Then for the D1 there’s the A bar and made of … shall we say made of plastic and foam, which appears to me a lot lighter and a bit thinner but even that is only an inch paway from the leading edge or the bonnet.
So from that the I don't think the Defender item will fit.

So it wish just to fit driving lamps there’s available lamp mount bars for fitting on a bumper suitable to do that.

Yes.

For the D1 there's a low lamp mount bar, where the lamps mount ontop.

The defender has a much taller lamp mount bar, where the lamps mount underneath.

Both appear to bolt down to the top of the front bumper:

Defender as in the first post:

D1:

I'm pondering if the defender one could be used similar to the D1 one.

The Defender one bolts through the bumper into the chassis with the rear two holes and into the bumper with the front two holes.
The Disco 2 one in your link bolts into the plastic front bumper .
Just buy the correct one. Be easier I would have thought.
Unless of course the D1andD2 bars are the same?
Paint if first though as the paint is rubbish.
