TD4 Replacement Engine

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me for sure that the rover 75/ZT engine is the same as the freelander unit ?

Spotted one reasonable on Ebay and want to double check before i bid

I dont think this will fit a TD4 mate.

these fit the old L series freelanders that take the rover engines but you need the BMW engine for the TD4

this is the TD4 lump: LAND ROVER FREELANDER 2.0 TD4 DIESEL ENGINE | eBay UK

The ebay add says it is an M47 BMW lump so it is the same family as TD4 Freelander.
As to it's suitability for a direct transplant using all of your existing FL ancilliaries - I don't know.
It is the right base lump tho' - depends upon how much swapping of the parts, brackets, mountings etc. you're prepared to do?
Anyone out there done one and can advise Kev what's involved ??
