td4 injector testing with pics

last year i had an issue with the td4 engine non starting, its a long story if you search for my thread, it turned out to be a snapped crankshaft

to determine if the injectors were working ,i removed the injectors and arranged them as shown in the photos,
i also set up the cam position sensor as shown in the photo, if the can sensor dose not get its pulse the injectors wont operate

on cranking the engine , i could see that the fuel was getting to the injectors and you can see the fuel mist in the bottles, this might be of interest to someone hence the reason for posting, its quite easy to set up ,

Snapped crank - that must be rare! Something else to be paranoid about!!

Actually it's pretty unheard of on the MR47 but i expect it can happen. As you have a K1.8 you don't need to worry as the cranks on those are pretty bomb proof too ;)

snapped cranks are not as rare as you might think, a guy on ebay was breaking his motor for as it happened to him
