Free lander 1 td4 drive pulley replacement carried out recently in a general Garage. They are not LR specialist. Could there be a possibility to change the face of the pulley and fix it inside out or only one-way pulley fits to crankshaft?

It'll only fit one way. The Freelander 1 TD4 engine is a BMW unit, so any garage worth their reputation should be able to replace it in a reasonable time.

Make sure they only fit a Corteco pulley any after market one will fail in a short time also change the belts if they have never been changed.

Thank you in case the garage made any mistakes.
After changing to new pulley the steering felt bit rough and bit scratchy sound. Steering Oil level ok. Any power steering dampers ? need attention?

Td4 steering felt rough, it used to be smooth before, after changing drive pulley, steering feels stiff feels though rubbing against something. Any bits in the power steering mechanism need changed or the damper pulley itself to blame drive belt tension etc seems ok. No rattle sound from engine after changing Drive pulley. How the power steering oil works do not know. Anyone got any idea for the stiffness of steering and what to check if there any. Thanks a lot.
