Tapping noise from dash

Wonder if anyone has any bright ideas. Have a Discovery 2 2003 and get a tapping or knocking noise from the right hand side of the dash on the driver's side when going over slight bumps in road, or sometimes just driving along. Driving me mad! Would appreciate any thoughts. Many thanks.

Crap down the back of it?

I've got something stuck in the blower vent. With them on and going round a roundabout, you could almost play a tune.

Hamster wheel bearings need replacing

removed air vent - nothing in there. Nothing tapping on bulkhead. Nothing obviously loos anywhere. Noise is sporadic. Could it be bush on top of shock? Any other bushes that could make this noise which sounds very local to right hand side of dash? TVM.

Are you sure the noise is actually emanating from the dashboard and not from the RHS under the vehicle?
