Freelander 1 Tailgate Window wont close

Hi all

OK so 2004 Freelander 5Dr HSE TD4

If i open tailgate window drops as normal but doesn't close again

TO close i have to open fully, slam boot closed and then use window switch to close....but if i slip off button i have to repeat process...plus door open light stays on permanently and interior lights stay on

Is that the regulator or lock or what?

Want to order bits but not sure what lol

It sounds like door closed sensor isn't working, which is why the window isn't going up.

The part that sticks out is the actuator.
The door sensor is integrated into the latch assembly, but from memory it is just visible, it's blue in colour, iirc.

Cool, many thanks, have ordered the entire latch assembly, similar to the picture so hopefully will sort the issues
