Tailgate window doesn't rise.

Hello All

Please can anyone help me. I have a 2005.Freelander 1 TD4 3 door hard / soft top. The problem that I've got is that when I put the soft top on. The rear tailgate window will not close. It stays in the closed position. I've tried disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds then reconnected it and pressed the alarm key fob 5 times this resetts the alarm fine but the tailgate window doesn't rise. Please HELP.

As bad as you think it might sound, this problem is hardly a fault with the engine, although it is a Freelander, so anything is possible.
