Hi to everyone! I searched a lot but no one seems to have been in my situation(Cant open with key or mechanism). The car is frelander 1 2005 TD4. 3 doors. The opening mechanism of the tailgate door seem to have stopped working, i believe this is due to broken cables, because they have been badly repaired in the past. At the same time my keys for some reason wont open the door too. So i m very stuck, i dont know how to open it. The tailgate window works, but how to get the cover of the backdoor off with the door closed, thanks for reading and if you can provide me with some help.

The key in the boot handle is to raise the window, after it's been dropped with the remote button.
The boot should open, even if the window cable has failed, unless the boot release solenoid has also failed.
It's pretty difficult to remove the inner trim with the boot closed, but it is just possible to manually actuate the boot release mechanism by hand, if you can unscrew the boot trim at the bottom and flex it out a bit.
