Oki Doki...how do you prevent these things getting nicked? Take it off unless laning i suppose?

You can get hammer on cone thingys for the ends of the bolts they crush on and then you cant grip them with moles, you need a grinder to cut them off and unlike welding it wont damage the bolt (read that if you weld the bolt it weakens it) might be bollocks though

I,ve got one !.
Seems like a good bit of kit.
Spares a cheaply available from Bearmach.
As with all winches, ( or maybe just the cheaper ones ), its a good idea to " service " them once in a while.
When I got mine it didnt work very well, and when I took the motor apart, I found this.
Water and mud had got in and caused the armature to sieze in the field.
The brushes had seen better days, so I put a new set in for £10.00.

Weld some plates over the bolts, so you can cut plate off at a later date and still use the bolts
