My freelander 03 td4 wont start,have mixed reports about where fuel pump is located,it seems like it is getting no fuel,i can't hear a buzzing noise when i turn the key on, before i stopped it the engine management light came on for about 10 sec then went off,this happened two or three times in as many miles.

Plenty of posts on LP fuel pumps if you search the forum. If you have a pump and filter under the bonnet, battery side near bulkhead then there will also be one in the fuel tank. If there is no pump and filter under the bonnet then it will be behind the right hand rear wheelarch liner and no pump in the tank.

Hello the location of the pump on my TD4 is on the passenger side in the area under the fuse boxes inside the engine bay front left side wheel arch also there is a press button switch for the pump i think it’s to prime there is also a primer pump in the tank as I said this is on my TD4 2001 model.
Have found out what the problem is ,removed the under engine tray found a pipe hanging down with what looks like a in line filter on the end pushed it back on and turned the key started straight away ,so morale of this tale look for the easy things first .

The TD4 is self priming. The press button switch you refer to might be the fuel cut off switch which activates in a crash.
