yeh i know, can i ask a daft question please

basically can u take apart a suspension strut and replace the seals

as i did find a very small air leak on the front strut , on the connector , tightened but alas still has a very slight drop overnight

see there are some repair seal kits

http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/lr...-front-or-rear-replaces-rae500010-99977-p.asp

the struts look sound, outer casing and rubbers all intact , seeing a new strut is nearly £200 , can u take them apart and replace the seals, to cure air leaks

of course don't want to leave any leaks seeing i've got a new compressor fitted

thks as always

just ordered myself a pushfit isolating valve and gauge

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pressure-gauge-with-isolation-ball-valve-6mm-push-fit/232300716219?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=2&asc=40656&meid=f592fb76e34a4e008a9f5e651f49e7ad&pid=100005&rk=6&rkt=6&sd=232300716211

put the link here in case it helps someone else

will cut the pressure gauge into the pipework , can then start the engine, put it into off road height, turn the isolating valve off , turn the engine off , remove the fuse to stop it self levelling every 6 x hours , then monitor the strut pressure and any drop

will also prove if the pipework etc going up to the strut is sound

it's the green pipe i will cut into, but will use elbows etc, in order i don't cut out too much pipe an
reinstall a coupling ,

happy days
