Looks right. If you have a press or can access one you only need the tapered collar and die to squeeze the bush into the smaller diameter hole in the radius arm. I have pressed them in using hose clips to reduce the diameter of the bush, plenty of soapy water and when they start keep them moving. Just let me get my tin hat, last time I replaced mine with poly bushes. oh so easy. ONLY ON THE RADIUS ARMS.:D

Use a threaded bar, a socket, and washers, with some nuts, and a socket set...... and a little lube, same to put them in, some are cone shaped and only go in and out one way (dont know if that applies to the P38 though)

Ok thank you
I want to take out the poly bushes and replace with original as the poly ones are too harsh
Cant afford to get half way and then get stuck as cant have car off the road

Are there any differences in the colours?
Blue, black and yellow even red bushes?
I put the yellow bushes on my anti roll bar bushes just to stiffen the roll a bit on these little roads. It helped.
I use a smear if grease fitting bushes in the press. ;)

As an alternative suggestion once the arms are off take them to any land Rover specialist £20 and theyll press em in and supply the bushes.(per side)

Used 3 large jubilee clips & a press to do mine, but I did have to chamfer one end of the bush before pressing in. Not checked my 2nd P38 yet . . . . it can wait until the engine is rebuilt !!

Why wouldn't you for the extra money.:) I use my mates 60 tonne, needed it when I did my wheel bearings. One had been running hot and was a bugger to press out.Evacuated the workshop when the pressure went over 40 tonne. We knew when it was safe to return, you would have thought a grenade had gone off.

Removing the circlip helps a lot. :D:D:D
