My defender was stolen last night/early hours of this morning. IT DID NOT RUN, the clutch was goosed so it must have been trailered away. If anyone see's, hears or anything, please get in touch, i want her back!!

It ws stolen from the wilmslow area of cheshire.

Pics are below, if you see it you cant miss it, it had a lot of equipment on it.

If you are members of other forums could you please post this thread.

Many thanks

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

Those bastids, are there any "new age travelers" parked up around your area that you can have a drive past and check?

Good point Red, if they didn't try to get it running (did you not hear anything or your car engine turning over etc?) and they have come with a trailer or a tow rope, they'll have known fully well that it wasn't mobile. I think you need to run through a list of people that knew your land rover was poorly.

Then again, they could have assumed that it was immobilised and taken it away on a trailer to strip for parts. Are there any CCTV cameras on any buildings near by, or a newsagents that had an early customer?

So many things to think about and try,
so little time to do it in, especially if it's being stripped down

Best of luck,
-Pos

man i really know how u feel!
my 05 double cab was stolen in Nov 2006
same thing i think
my bedroom window was open and i didnt hear the engine strike up outside on the driveway :( and my 2 big dogs didnt bark
no broken glass or anything
must have towed it some how/trailor
tell police yeh?
mine had a full tank so if they did get it running elsewhere they could have driven to almost anywhere in UK!!!!
u had alot of kit i really do hope u get it back!!!!
its most likely stolen to order like redhand said
thats what they think happened to mine
they blatently know what they are doing
in foreign countries like spain or elsewhere u can sell a whole landy n parts for around £50K so they make a huge profit!!!! :O
there have been a lot of thefts in merseyside recently, maybe they when further afield to chester?
i was gutted!!!!!!!
and very very angry/annoyed
i saw the tyre tread pattern on the muddy grass outside my house the next day :( where they obviously couldnt steer it so cut the corner over the grass
oh well

Aint that a bitch, really sorry to hear that mate. My uncles brand new 2006 defender, just one month after he took delivery of the car the car was stolen from his garage and was shipped to iran. ****ing morons.

Did you inform the police? Did you inform land rover? Hope you find it soon mate.

I'm one of the administrators from Mudwarriors and know Cookie very well. The land rover was unfortunately parked up at our lock up which is on a farm. As a result there was no-one around to see/hear anything. It also isn't visable from the road so who ever has taken it has either been scouting around the area looking for this type of vehicle or have been down before. If anybody is offered any parts at a price that is too good to be true please do not buy them unless you know where the parts have come from, it could be a stolen vehicle that the parts have come from and so somebodys misery. The police are aware of this. Any assistance from anybody will be greatly appreciated and if you do know anything please post it on our website at www.mudwarriours.co.nr.
Thanks, Andy B (Grey Head), Mudwarriors Administrator.

I've heard of several in the Merseyside area lately, the remains of one was found within days in the Ship Canal.

Andy is right, any of us who buy a cheap used part without knowing where it has coming from could be encouraging these thefts.

I was p***ed off when i heard about this when i called home yesterday, it's not good :( his pride and joy.

Unfortunately we've had other expensive stuff go missing in the past as well :(

Thats real bad news, unfortinatly they seem to be popular targets for theft but then given the fact they can be totaly stripped bare and people will but almost anything partswise i'm not suprised:mad:
