My 90 tdi was stolen last night. Red 200tdi. Rear windows with safari guards. Chubb dead locks on front doors etc etc.
They must have rolled it out some how coz it is usually parked under my window.
Wokingham area. Police informed. Farm Watch notified. Local farmers and game keepers in the know. Local land rover business's i know also informed.
Four Runner roof rack with 4 spot. 265 wrangler mtrs. Swing away. Side bars. Tubular front bumper. Black cheq plate on bonnet and wing tops. Very well known in this area.
 
Sorry to hear that buddy ... make sure you put it on Landywatch and get some pics on there and on here.
Hope you find her ... they sometimes get left for a couple of days in the middle of nowhere in case there's a tracker fitted. This time is crucial if you're going to find her.

Police mentioned a couple more had 'recently' gone and found stripped in the area. Dont know about that - no one I knew,
As you can understand - this has really buggered me! Was far from impressed with the pc's first question 'are you in financial difficulty?' :doh:
'er i wasnt until some ###er had stolen my pride and joy!'.

Picposted is with different wheels. She was on 265's mtrs and grey modulars.

Keeping the shotgun loaded in the meantime...;)

I have a feeling I will be wandering around Newbury 4x4 jumble next month......
As we are all proberbly intimate enough with our motors to spot parts u know could only come from your own motor.
Plenty stuff on mine I know is rare or bespoke in some form or other or just bleedin obvious.

Hi. No news yet.
However the garage door my 90 was parked across had a break in attempt last night.
Following nite of my 90 going........they didnt get in. It's a false door. So the lowlife seem to have returned to what they thought was my garage! :doh:
Owner had the police round. Not sure they made the connection.
It seems tho there are reports of (hate the term) pykies around. Which generally means the police will do nothing.... :mad:
A day down Newbury on the 7th could be on the cards.

Ah well.
Tax and mot were due end of month. Got bugger all to do this weekend now!!!!!!

And have u seen the price of sound/decent 90 200tdi's????????? :eek:

Tryin to keep the chin up.

i marked all the panels and parts on ours so if it gets stripped i can id the parts..

doesnt help but newbury has been rife in the past..:mad:
 
And guess what my plan was this weekend? Other than the general tinker. I have abottle of microdots frm my boat insurance that was to be applied. Horse and stable door..... i am hoping as most of the vehicle was pretty much bespoked over the last 10yrs. There arent many places on it that havent had my mitts on. Most parts modified for purpose etc.

No news about mine. But the scum came back following nite to try and break into a garage my 90 is usually parked across. Witness saw 3 people doing garages....but coz they ran off he didnt call the police.!!!! Ffs! :doh:
 
UPDATE. UPDATE.

T.V Police have just rang me. They are on route to a report of NUMEROUS land rovers in various states in woodland.
No details where as yet. They wont tell me obviously.

Doesnt sound great - but there is more than one found.

Will post details if/when i receive them.

Ah well. I spose i wouldnt get a call just yet if the police have recovered anything.
I have the joy of going thru the insurance "interview" tomorrow.

bit coincidental but have you seen the other thread with the rolled black 90, it is obviously red under the black, has side window grills, swing away spare wheel. different tyres and front bumper i know but very easy to swap with another stolen one. same snorkel by the looks of things

REALLY NOT sure, but passed a pretty similar 90 to yours today in Sonning Common, just outside of Reading, at 17:15 Today (Friday 5th April).. I didn't get a very good look and by the time I'd turned it was no where to be seen.. Haven't seen this defender around here before so got me thinking, from a distance it looked pretty similar... but can't imagine why it would be driving around!?

My apologies if this is false information, and is someone else's on here, but I thought I would share, got me a little as he never put his hand up to say thanks for giving him way, nor for the normal landy love I always share... It just stumped me a little

There is a similar 90 around. I have seen her before. I have eyes out that way that work in the area too. If he doesnt spit her - his dogs woukd!!!

Dealing with insurance assesors..... :flame2: :mad:

Just how much does it take to explain "wanting for nothing" etc etc.....

I have spotted a 90 for sale festooned with bodily parts off MY STOLEN DEFENDER!!!!!!!!

And interior....................

and unless i am mistaken - MY ENGINE, cooler pipes, etc

Well that's less to look for down at Newbury then.....

and the police have just been given the details...

oh.....i so wanna get round there and

and yes, when one modifies parts yourself, or buys blank dash panels and cuts own holes in them - i said i would spot my stuff - I have.
