I bent my track rod a few months ago and although I have now replaced the complete track rod, which I initially straightend it still troubles me, the bastid.
Wheel alignment done, steering knuckle in correct place and damper replaced at the time I straightened the rod, all the other bits, wheel bearings are ok etc and it's only done this since the whack it got, but the impact was caused by trying to reverse back over the stump that I never noticed, if you get what I mean.
Everything was ok until I whacked a tree stump, and I wonder if it's a ****e damper which still troubles me, think it's one of them ****ty ones, britpart.
Anyway any guys out there who have had similar symptoms caused by a fooked damper. This is what it does. Hit any bump in the road and the fooker shakes the steering to death, so violent that it's frightening on corners, my guess is the damper is supposed to absorb these and it aint.
Driving me nuts so it is.
