dont know what kato is on .buckfast maybe. but in pic 6 the part with the red paint on and the marks on the steering box when they are lined up as in the pic is that when the steering box is central .or is it just a case of drive back and a forward a few times to center it as i cant see any other marks on it

Confirm: Track Rod is the bar behind axle and Draglink is bar in front of axle ?

Yep - Track is behind, Drag in front connected to Drop Arm from Steering Box...

when testing the small alloy uj on the steering for play do you have the engine running or not .i have ajusted it all up and seems a lot better but i am not 1oo% happy with it think it still needs a bit more .so how much play should be in this uj

non if box is centered

right ok then mine moves about a quarter inch each way so will nip it up a bit more .could really do with driving another rangerover to compare and measure the distances on the linkage bar .thanks for that

make sure box is central there is free play either side of center

well i have adjusted it up as much as i can its still not right going to have to take it somewhere and get it looked at .any one know of a garage around grimsby that might know what there doing

me probably , but if box is worn to the point you cant remove freeplay then another box may be best bet
