Steering boss mismatch

Right, so i found a defender 48 spline boss for my Landy, soon after i found a nice Isotta steering wheel and the purchase was made, when i was getting everything ready to install i realised the side of the boss with 6 holes thats to fit the 6 holes on the steering wheel is larger. so the boss is larger then the steering wheels, No problem, redrill and bolt them together with 5 countersunk stainless M6s with nylocs and 2 M4s.
took her for a spin tonight and in my honest opinion the smaller diameter wheel is so much better feeling wise then the large original
