Hi folks,
Re '99 TD5 Auto...
I have both the manual and sports lights flashing on the dashboard when ignition in position 2.
Any idea why?
May or may not be related, but I have a loose cable/connector being the glove box... see attached pic. The connector is the lever type.
I've done a lot of work on the Disco and currently it won't start. I think the M and S lights could be the reason why...
Thanks in advance

Not familiar with that actual cable, but by the length of it I'd say it went to one of the boxes on the left - can't remember what's mounted on the passenger side footwell though... Try out various possible cable routes and see if there's anything within reach that has a spare connector! Is there a label on it?

I need to see the connector's face and what colour wires are going into it to be able to help but i doubt it has anything to do with your problem and the shortest route to find out is to read the fault code stored in the autobox ECU

Hi, I can't see any obvious sockets for it, so I suspect it's for a component my model doesn't have e.g. air con...

Hi,
I've attached a better pic of the connector. I only have Hawkeye and as cannot start the truck I cannot detect live fault codes. I cannot locate any other issues with the relatively limited scope of a Hawkeye
Hoping you can shed more light when you view the picture!!
Regards, Darren.

As long as i can't see the conector's face which means the side with the pins i can't say more about it... as about the main issue, read the fault code strored in the autobox ECU
