I don't really know how to describe this but,

You see them on fenders and disco's, they are where the light housing glass is a shiney, orange tint to it and looks the nuts I have a HID Light kit but would love to get my hands on these to finish the look off!

I have no idea what to type into a search to find them?

Please Help

Many Thanks

Ben :)

If you have HID's I hope they are 4100 or 4300k and not higher. If so you've over paid for lesser performing bulbs that not only give out less light, are coloured and cause dazzling haze to oncoming traffic.

Grey area on fitting them as aftermarket bulbs - but I ain't gonna get into that debate

All I would say is that fitting them in reflector lenses is a complete waste of time, as light pattern is completely random and will dazzle drivers as no definite cut off point, even if you get the H7R bulbs with the blacked out parts - partially better, but still not good - only ever fit them in projector lenses.....hence the conversion I did to my headlights ;)

I know EXACTLY what you mean and they look the mutts nuts! And I have a cool trade secret that I will divulge to you but you cannot tell ANYONE else: forget forking out loads of money, what you have to actually do is carefully remove your bulbs and put orange peel over them, This will give you the desired look you are looking for. Hope this helps ;).

Oh right is that what your on about I have news for you this "look" is as old as Joe Lucas
we used lucozade wrapping of the old bottles about 40 years ago

Yep me too, although it did work on cracked amber lenses for the mot years back
fell off or burnt in about 30 mins still it stopped the white light shining through and thats all the tester was interested in

yeah ive used roses/quality street (other chocolates are available) wrappers to get to get one of my old bangers through its MOT when it had a damaged rear cluster, A quick fix and a little munch at the same time!
