There's an R-plate one of them on the local forecourt - was up for 7K, now
reduced to 6.5K, dunno about mileage though.

I paid £7k for mine two years ago but it looks like I will just have to take
what I can ! there doesnt seem to be a huge demand for them , but its no
longer the right vehicle...

I just sold my 97 P 2.5TD for £5750 on ebay with the full service history.
Had 40 lookers and it went bonkers in the last hour so dont give up hope.

Good luck with it, you may be right though, someone could buy it, spend half
a day on it cleaning and bung it on again with a different set of pictures,
car washed and polished, tyres squirted with shiny stuff, wheels cleaned,
bumpers reblacked and grill, windows spotless and run through with the
hoover and cockpit cleaner and make £500, it's mad but it's life.

erm I have done all that ! since I took the pics but before I put it in
autotrader , all I seemed to get then was chaves and con merchants !
It actually is really clean now but the outside is dusty as I live 500
yards from the M1 which is being widened , creating a bit of a mess ! As I
said someone is going to be pleasently suprised !

Shame it doesn't have air con and isn't an auto or I would be tempted
back to a P38 rather than the disco!

got a big electric sun roof !

and its quick ! for a bmw diesel ...alot quicker than the autos !

to an enthusiast I would through in the workshop manual and a spare abs pump
I got from a brakers and didnt need ! ( blocked brake line ) its got new
rear brake lines and loads of other bits done...but it will need that rear
fuel pump at some point ! at the price its going at its got to be the
bargain of the year !

Sadly they aren't making much money, especially base model ones,
don't think you did too badly to be honest.

I can't buy a manual box because my wife will only drive an auto,
plus in 40C heat we *need* air con!!
