I looked at this when it was for sale on autotrader the other month, its the same pics from the ad that you have posted, travelled a long way too to see it but I didint buy it. Its not a facelift model either btw, not that thats a bad thing really just saying its the same as the one I did eventually buy although mines an 05 plate. Lots of problems getting the right parts as its on the changeover year where its half canbus and half most. Any advice you need mate give us a shout as im pretty well to grips with mine now. Also where are you based in UK?

I know it's not the facelift model, but it has the updated satnav and bits they included before going to the facelift in 2006.

I've had it checked over by my local indy garage and they recon it's a bloody good buy for the money. Couple of minor bits, i.e. passenger headlight washer... got a replacement of ebay for £20, rear drivers side light had a hole in the lens...again ebay (mint replacement) for £100
It's got a full service history.
I live in Cumbria and drove it home last saturday, went like a trooper! Used it for work all week (550 miles total) and getting 27mpg.

Deffo happy with her!!

Just a question about the lights, is that front fogs on ?

They can be converted to DRL's using LEDs - 2.0Hippo has done his - they are not as dazzling as Halogen Fogs...

mine are no way as bright as the fogs for obvious reasons - just a glow.

unusual that they drive with them on all the time as you physically have to press the fog button to turn them on every time you turn on your main lights as when you turn your main lights off they reset the fogs too so that they don't come back on without you pressing the fog switch again.

seems hard work to press all these switches every time you want to turn on your lights

A **** tonne of people do. Damn near everyone around here has fogs on at all times. My retinas get raped every time I drive in the dark. Unfortunately too many people think fog lights are there to look good or they think "they help me see in the dark, **** anyone else on the roads." They are also the people who drive around with highbeams on at all times too.

I hope they all die in fire.

The police don't seem to do anything / even care.

they could fine everyone who has them on when they shouldn't, just think its not worth the hassle for them.

plus you have to try and prove the difference between DRL and fogs - there's so many variations of lights now days it makes it impossible to police it

same as xenon retro fit kits - hell of a lot of people have them now, police used to be hot on them, now obviously not

Halfords even sell illegally powerful bulbs which they claim are legal because they carry the E marking. You see a lot of these ultra bright bulbs being sold saying how they increase your visibility, but the majority of them are illegal because they blind everyone else on the roads.

I think it is because the fuzz can't tell the difference between retrofit and factory fit. I've come across so many Audi/BMW/Merc/etc and been just as blinded by them as I am by Barry in his Saxo with retrofit.

Nice colour (I prefer dark blue to black), although it is a pitty you got the Chuckie version. The facelift exterior is much nicer imho.

Isn't that why LR came out with the LR branded plastic bag you wrap the electronics up in?

It is. It stops the rain from above but regretably does not stop the condensation from the pool of water that gathers in the bottom and the spare wheel well condensing out in the boxes and blowing the lot to bits.

Have to say Surrey Plod are pretty hot on it....

I came off the M3 at night and it was foggy, had the F/L's on.....as I headed down the road off the motorway the fog had lifted slightly and I was following a Plod car, he signalled me to pull over, and was dutifully reminded that I should turn my fog lamps off and they should only be used when visibility has reduced below 100 metres.....

I've pulled plod over and reminded them of that fact when they have left the rear fogs on:eek: They do not like it at all:D

My local plod don't use lights - especially indicators.

Watch out for the black unmarked BMW I have seen atrocious driving from the crew who drive that- I wish I had a dash cam as they almost caused 3 accidents cutting people up.

You know you can report plod for bad driving, right? I've done it for plod round here and two have been put on foot patrol for 12 months as a punishment. Although I was told by the beat bobby who told me to report them that they did already have a fair few naughtyboy points against their names already.

Got to admit, I hate using fog lights, first thing I did was make sure they were switched off.

I normally end up driving to and from work in the dark at this time of year, and I get totally p****d off by the number of a/holes driving towards me with their fogs on!!

Only one thing is worse...the twonks that have adjusted their headlights badly, so you get one light shining right into your eyes as their car comes towards you. It's even worse at this time of year, when it's dark, cold and drizzly.

p.s. the original photos were off autotrader, but have now got some more to put on, as the Rangie's at home and the sun has finally come out. Will post them later.

same blue as mine ,wife didn't like it at first said she prefered dark grey but she's mellowed towards it now.
