I 've seen a fair few posts relating to a certain Dr Evils 'misfortunes' with V8's.......just wondered what the story is really as the ribbing is amusing to say the least!:p

he is a attention seeking :5btroll::boink: Likes to have lots of threads about the same subject and trying to have the highest post count.:p:p

But a decent youngster ;):D

And has been known to Hijack a thread or 2

Student!
Like Thor said, slightly attention seeking!
Can be funny at times, hopefully with the passing of the years wisdom will come!
Basically a good hearted lad I think. Slightly Gobsmacked hes posted 16,000 times in a year!

:pop2:

and the story of life begins

Gather round bastids!

To sum it up;

Series bought, engine wont start, try various things to make it go broom, still nothing, buy new engine, take out old engine, bulkhead held together with glue, begin more intense rebuild and mods, old engine dismantled, bald cam, vehicle still needs putting back together and I'm doing that this weekend plus welding too

:5blurk5:

can't wait for Doc to see this pmsl :D

Yorky cnut

Ahem……..I am chief hijacker and I don't even have to post in some of them to get brought up

Like all legends the story has no definitive starting point and this one probably will have no definitive end point either

Back in 2012 AD

So after spotting a nice little V8 Series 3 for sale on ebay I popped down to the home of the devil (Accrington) to view the little blighter.

Upon being met by the seller because we got lost I was directed to the garage where Gerald (yes Phoebe has named it already) was being stored. He's in a good state chassis and bulkhead wise but the bodywork is a little ****ty.

So £475 down the ****ter plus another £100 for delivery up to the lakes I've got another ####ing Series 3 V8 but on the plus side this one doesn't have any HG problems……….YET!

Rust wise its had a replacement rear X-Member at some point in its life, a V8 transplant, a ####load of checker plate which will all be coming off (I looked behind the rear X-Member one and its solid behind, the footwells are perfect, the bulkhead is too and the engines nice as well, pity it was mutilated by the previous owner before the seller but never mind I'll fix the little blighter up

It used to have a roll cage on it at some point and it comes with a winch bumper and HD A-Bar on the front as well as wiring set up for the winch left in place it also has free wheeling hubs, very nice ones, a Mountney wheel and the tyres are good too plus it has a side exit cherry bomb exhaust

And a new battery

No video for now but I'll get one when it arrives it has all the bits n bobs to put it back together all it needs now is a new flasher relay as the guy dismantled it to repaint but broke his wrist mid project. Not much to do on it other than that and a little TLC on the inside

Anyway without further ado here's the little ####let thats bankrupt me!

This is your first post of the thread. What part was very nice as you say

£815 spent in total for everything thanks to all the bits off the series I sold :)

Still got the converted flywheel to sell, couple of other bits too, wheels, rear axle, gearbox, FWH's, and then the engine hoist as I don't need it anymore
