Small hole..

Halfrauds do packs of various size grommets or if your lucky and have an old fashioned hardware shop local you could pick one up for a few pence.

Depends how big it is really....if you use silicon or chemical metal etc you'll need to overfill the hole and spread it so it acts like a ........er.......grommet....

Get a grommet I reckon

Thanks guys. Probably plump for the metal from Halfords as I have a sandblast (painful) and waxoil booked for April - may chew up the grommet. Didn't know they done liquid metal - shove some in my wheel barrow too

Re hole - better to have a small hole in the rear than a large one, lets less wind through

If you use a grommet put a small amount of waxoyl or similar around it to help prevent rust

What a choice guys - a chemical high, an oily grommet and now a riveting bang all in my small rear hole :5bdrool5:

Think I'll try Dr. Evil's liquid metal, never played with that before. The hole is about 10mm but want to catch it before it gets rusty.
Picking up a sacks of chicken feed and cement tomorrow so will have a play Sunday. I'll let you know how I get on.

Also, heard a low hissing noise tonight when applying brakes. Sounded like it was coming from the rear but sound may be travelling. Any ideas? Never done it before. Is it worth checking the servo for leaks or could it be something else?
