So have pressed the AC drains...nothing comes out.
Have greased the UJs.

Thought I would sort my AUTO selector problem:

It is difficult to select "1", tough also for "2" also.
I also have the thing where she jumps "P" "R" "P" "R" on selector.

I have looked at RAVE and can see the cable (with small locking nut that goes to selector postion switch) and split pin. RAVE says "Put in Park", remove split pin and adjust!!! But which way...losen nut or tighten it????? Help!!

I would think if it is not selecting 1 then you need to effectively 'shorten' the cable as it may have stretched....

If it selects 1 when the selector is in 2....then you need to effectively 'lengthen' the cable.....

I could be wrong but in my head it seems to make some sense! :)

Hi Rachel, look on YouTube under P38 problems and there is a chap showing how to adjust gear selector linkage. He explains that you should select 1st remove cable from selector switch then adjust until cable goes back into selector switch without any force. Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul!!

Usual problem is the cable rusted and binding. Lots of oil into cable and some vigerous movement before you try to adjust it.

Thanks Keith....I oiled the crap out it!!! It's fine now!!!!! :)

However, that video is going to be damn useful at some point!! :)
