Hi all dreaded m+s lights with D flashing on display and also red lights on gear shift I could only get 3rd N R and P Plugged in Nanocom fault was P0743 solenoid valve lockup clutch monitor (s/c to ground or o/c) nanocom's are fantastic!!!! pointed me in the right direction.Any way looked thru Landyzone sites and found some great suggestions thanks to all especially from member Sierrafery who has posted circuit diagrams and socket / connector details for the auto box wireing loom thanks sierrafery if you read this.It is a right sod of a job you need to have patience but is very doable .First I got front up on ramps then removed centre console easy job take off gear knobs high low unscrews auto stick pulls off upwards do not try to unscrew then just undo four screws front and back pull off all gear covers disconnect connector under auto shift and disconnect remove door switches and panel also cigar lighter socket and remove pin from hand brake cable to allow you to put hand brake vertically for easier removal of console that's about it for console please see other threads if not sure. Now the fun!! Underneath passenger side of gear box Above the oil pan before the XYZ switch is the solenoid plug you can hardly see it but it probably makes it a lot easier if you take off font exhaust I did not remove front exhaust because I did not what another sod of a job. I did it mostly by feel and held my mobile phone up there to take pics of the plug it has a knurled front ring which you undo mine was very tight I managed to get a short screw driver to push against the knurled serrations and twist at the same time until eventually it undid (don't give up it is possible hope fully yours will be easier). I then unplugged the socket from the Electronic Auto box Transmission ecu which is under the passenger seat and tested continuity between solenoid box plug and transmission ECU Plug and found a wire open circuit (connector C0243 solenoid plug Pin L wire colour Orange Light Green to connector C0193-pin 53 on ECU plug see page 32.1 in electrical diagrams in Rave). So it's loom problem Nanocom was correct!!Next job now the solenoid plug is off to the rear of the the console you will see the loom come thru disconnect all its connectors I think its 2 white and one black anyway quite obvious then push the big grommet down thru with screw driver dont stab your loom and feed connectors thru .Next working blind again the loom has a clip on it right at the top in front of the hand brake drum at rear of gear box you need to follow the loom from underneath by touch held on with a 17mm nut which you need to undo then part of the loom runs to the transfer box a two wire plug looking from the front up high drivers side on transfer box unplug this. This is where I could not pull the plug back with the loom because it was clipped and no way could I get to the clip so I cut the plug Off and later rewired it with some good twin flex so that I could just feed it back over when replacing the repaired loom next the XYZ switch needs to be unplugged again what a sod to make it easier now that the loom is free feed some spare back toward the XYZ plug so it can drop down a bit and then you can de-tort yourself to just about grab it and disconnect it. Now the loom can be pulled out free so you can work on a bench in comfort to check continuity and repair it. Usually the fault is where the clip on the main loom is .You need to slide off the heat proof sleeving and undo any insulation tape and then hope you can find a fault remember to replace heat proof sleeving and make a really good job of taping it all back up to give it good protection good luck to anybody doing this!!! It is a bit of a nightmare but once its done you'll feel great and please about yourself look thru threads for help with this I certainly needed it thanks to all p.s. I cleared faults with nanocom and no more flashy lights and drives well HURRAY !!! But please never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
