Hi can anyone tell me how to replace the wing mirrors on a 2005 Freelander. Mine have stopped functioning ☹️

Easy. Pop the corner cover/tweeter housing, and there's 3 screws behind that secure the mirror to the door.

However you don't say what has stopped working, and for it to effect both mirrors, it's unlikely to be the mirrors.

Hi
Thank you for your advice. The mirrors adjust but will not electrically park in or out. I’m visiting my daughter in London and she lives on a narrow street. I manually pull them in but they are very wobbly when I pull them back out. This hints to me the mechanism is worn out ?

If both mirrors are affected, it's more likely to be the power fold controller, which is up by the LH kick panel, very close to the glove box.

Both mirrors are affected but the left mirror will close but not open. The right is dead. This sounds like an auto electrician job then if it is the fold controller. I would not be comfortable trying. Thankyou for your help

If one mirror is folding, then it's possible that the mon functional mirror is faulty and also the fold controller.
The controller is really easy to replace, it's just a posh relay, so has a plug on it for the connections. It's as easy as pulling the plug off the old controller, and pushing it onto the new controller, then putting it back where it came from.
There are actually replacement fold actuators for the mirrors available for the FL1, so you might get away with replacing those, although I've never replaced one, but it doesn't look an easy job. A replacement mirror is the easiest but definitely not the cheapest route to take.

Hmm so are the fold actuators part of the mirror assembly? Would I have to replace the fold controller as well ?
I have the passenger door skin off to replace the regulator that I have coming. That’s about the limit of my skills 🤣
I replaced the rear window blade but it only 1/2 touches the glass. Same problem with the old blade. I tryed bending the arm but chickened out. Do you think a new arm would fix the problem.
Also who do you recommend to get spares?
Thankyou for all the help

For the mirrors have a look at this..

For the rear wiper arm, remove, apply heat gun and twist and flex to make it clear the door and sit the blade square on the glass.
