Hey chaps, n chappetes

Iv been offered a T reg Freelander 2.0 Diesle with aprox 130000Miles quite cheap.

Main reason being after driving for a while it cuts out and apparently is getting worse, it use to restart straight away but now takes some time.

sounds like its when its hot it cuts out and cooling off will let it start

What could be the possible cause, is there anything i can check with it parked up theat would be obviouse or is it going to need to be plugged in to the computer and fault finding?

thanks

Most likely a sensor. Crank sensors often fail when hot. It could well be an easy fix. The L series is a reliable old lump.

L-series should work with crank sensor fail (you can know that is a crank sensor if IDLE is high than 900-950), but this looks like simple fault...
Just check these few points:
-sensor as Nodge say
-FIP pump connector/harness
-1'st injector connection/harness with needle sensor

Are you sure that you looking at Freelander ? It have transverse engine ;).

1'st injector is that with wire (only one), closest to left side of vehicle (when you look at engine from the front)

lol, fair enough iv got disco in my head (im origionally a tratter lad) ssshhhh

thanks for that (iv not seen it yet) off to pick it up sunday.
