I was admiring the old girl in the car park at work today, as you do:eek: when i noticed a distinct lean to the drivers side.

Is this a sign of impending doom or just 16 years of wear on the springs and does it do any harm??

I certainly dont want to be doing anything about it until it warms up now.;)

Search for Disco Lean.
It's happened to mine, but like you, I won't be doing anything about it until it warms up a bit. I don't think it's dangerous. Mine seems to handle fine.
I read on here it's something to do with all the power being shoved down the right hand side of the car, not sure how true that is though.
I thought mine was because I'm a fat ass and I'm normally the only one in it!!

when i noticed a distinct lean to the drivers side.....

I've got a "L" reg 200Tdi and it does the same thing but just passed the mot fine so can't be much. But I am a big lad so it could just be me fat arse! :p

I did have the springs replaced a few years back when I first had it but that was before I came on here and was a Virgin owner... The bloke who fitted them for me (and charged me a fortune for a load of work, most of which I have put right over the last 18mths) fitted Britpart.

Anyway, new house has a drive so will be changing mine when the weathers better :D

Think I should warn everyone on here I will be asking for tips on the subject in a few months!

So it is, better drive carefully:D:D:D

Ok thanks all, i figured she would be good for another few thousand before i look at the suspension, certainly wont be fitting britpart springs:)

not noticed mine leaning but it sure feels like it rolls more when i turn left than turn right.. also have a slight pull to the left. had trackin checked and spot on.. put poly bushes on roll bars front and rear. but noticed had more space between roll bar and mount on left ones than right.. guess this means springs are shot on right?
