shaking 110

Hi, need a little help on a small issue. After some Broxhead off roading the old girl has developed a scary wheel wobble between 40 and 50 mph. So i had the wheels balenced, and tracking done ( chap said mine was the straightest 110 he'd ever checked, BONUS) but this hasn't changed anything. I detected some play in the steering drag end link so changed that today and tightened the damper mountings a bit but still no difference. Bearings seem ok so am i looking at a hub/swivel ball problem?? Any advice would be fantasic.

What tires have you got? Not missing any aggressive nobbles are you muffdiver?

Check yer wheel bearings, swivel pins, shims, steering shaft uj's and check yer bushes as well

Running BFG Mud's all in good condition. The only bush that i could see movement on was the drivers side radius arm where it mounts to the axle. Will hoof front end up tomorrow and check all thats suggested.

Check your UJ's on the prop shafts too

Ok. wheel bearings changed, no differance. No detectable paly in swivel pins or steering.... Help.....

I've been through all this twice before on two different motors (the vibration feels like the wheels bout to drop off and you can set it off by shaking the steering wheel or going over a bump 45/55mph onwards, both times it's ended up being radius arm bushes.

Outstanding, i thought these were a little too flexible. When i get the chaps to shake the beast there if noticable movemovement on the nearside radius arm bushes. Also your spot on by saying how to set it off. If you accellerate upto 60 there is nothing, but hit a bump or white line or come off the power and all hell breaks loose !!

Both front UJ'S replaced a couple of months back and bo play in them at all.

Ive had what this sounds like. Check you propshafts to see if there strait. I had a bent rear prop shaft from dragging it over break overs, developed an aggressive vibration at around 30 and 60.

Also bad UJ deffinitly cause this, and transfer box bearings. Ive had the whole bunch.

The above seems more likedly.

Wouldn't, they'd cause shaking which could possibly be confused as wheel wobble .

If you lean out of the window you can see my front wheels wobbling! going down the radius arm bushes first, also an excuse to fit castor corrected ones.
