Wibble Wobble - it may well be the panhard

Covered left, right and centre, but i had the deathly wobble appear on the RR. Surely it couldn't be the bushings as i'd done those a few years ago and not done many miles.

Everything eliminated (swivel weights, tie rod ends, alignment, damper (yes, i know that has nothign to do with it)) and still it was doing the wibble wobble over 50. I had however changed the transmission fluid and PS pump so new Dexron II had been raining down on my metalastics because i'm a clumsy ox.

So, on a whim and because it's easy i did the panhard bushes.

Job done, wobble cured.

Nothing obviously wrong with them, but seeing how small they are and looking at the pounding they must take from the axle movement i can see why they don't last long. Cheap to replace and in fact you can buy a ready-to-use panhard with bushings for the same price as a pair of genuine LR bushes. Not wanting to waste a rod, i just used the press - easy out and easy in.

Nothing to be afraid of and pretty quick to do. I may well add it to my sort-of-every-two-years schedule.
