So going to give my 200Tdi it first service (in my ownership) this weekend. Have done a bit of research and decided on the following oil:

gearbox oil - MTF75
transfer box oil - EP90
engine oil - 5/30 semi

But my question is, how much of the stuff will I need???

I expect to find no more than a thimble full in both the transfer box and gearbox if that makes any difference

I think it's about 6 1/2 litres for the engine, not sure about the the others though.
I could be wrong but that engine oil seems a little thin to me but I'm not certain. I always used to use 10/40 on mine cos it was easily available

Always ran mineral 15/40 in all my tdis over the years.
In fact still do, change it twice a year sorted

I used 10/40 mineral in my disco with no problems
Is the gear oil right?
I thought mtf94?

ATF dextron II would be better i think, that's what I use in my LT77 gearbox on my fender (reverse left and up) I don't know about the R380 box (reverse down and right)

That's what I put I'm mine it's an r380.
Tried carlube mtf94 and it was hard to get gears when cold no troubles with ATF
I'll just change it frequently :D

Here's a question for you, where do you all get your oils from??

My local independent motor factor, in an emergency I once brought oil from a halfords but it's a bit more expensive.

You can order online cheaply but I can never be faffes to wait for delivery and I quite like going into the motor factor and chatting with them anywY
