200TDI laid up for a long time

My Defender 200TDI has been laid up for 5 years, It was always serviced and oil changed etc and was a good runner until 5-6 years ago. CAMBelt was last done about 10 years ago. About 8-9 years ago I did all oils, gearbox/transfer box etc.

Last started and ran 2 years ago for about 20 mins then I took injectors out and popped some oil in the cylinders to stop ceasing.

Question : Now I have some time and desire as the other project is coming to the end I was thinking of starting her up and getting her going and feeling some love again.

Whilst mileage has been less than 800 in the last 8-9 years time has passed. I assume starting and running may do more harm than good ? Should I change oils and fluids filters etc first ? Cambelt will be ok ? or worth doing ?

My 90 was unstarted for 10 years, she fired straight up.
I've only changed the diesel in the tank so far, as I've not got it roadworthy yet.
I will change engine oil and filters and probably do timing belt (even though it had a new one before abandonment) before it goes back on the road.

I would start her up first, maybe take wire off the solenoid to turn it over for a few seconds to get the oil moving, then run for 10-15 minutes then drop the oil. Do filters and new oil then

Awesome ty chaps, just ordered one from Paddocks, first in a looooong time pennies... no brainer...

as above, once timing belt and fluids and filters changed I would then just run it with a good dose of injector/fuel system cleaner for a few tanks, maybe even atf mixed with the fuel to give everything a bit of a clean and refresh on the fuel system internals. other than that it should be good to go, you may find a couple of leaks to address once it is back running and in use again.
Some of the things I found failed shortly after getting back on the road after being laid up were the lift pump, and various rubber suspension items.
