Serious Advice Wanted - Fat Chance I Guess!!

Need some advise from u experts (hmmphh). I have an ’89 110 V8 county station wagon which is ready to go thru a test. But I need a chassis n engine (plus a few other bits) for another project. So wot do u think makes sense? Sell it with 12 months test or break it for my other project and use any money made to help finance it? Just wanna know which forum to put it on? It's gotta go either way

is it worth more than the sum of its parts?

I guess that's my question really - the body n interior are pretty good (rear doors a bit iffy as normal) but if I keep the chassis, engine n tranny then it starts to seem a sensible option? Will have engine n tranny to sell off the other project too.

Well if yer got the room n time to break it do it.Tons of bods after spares for repairs and the 2nd hand car market int the best at the mo....

While I'm at it, got a '78 SWB pickup I could do with getting rid of. Presume its a series something, but its been prepared for offroading - 3ltr Ford V6 with auto box. Not in the best of nick but not bad for the year also. Would plan to sell that one complete - what u reckon?

probably better to sell it depends how you value your time, if you decide to break it . its probably worth about 1500 as a runner with mot dependant on condition . JMHO

Nah, don't break a solid 110 V8!

I looked quite a while for one of those, gave up & got my disco instead. I broke an old beemer (a 635csi, was rotten before you shoot me!) last year, was a **** load of hassle & didn't get half as much dosh as people said it would (especially after the ebay fees!). It had a pair of good wings as well, you don't want to know what they cost new!

How much would you want for it?

If you decide to break it I'd be interested in the frames that go round the bottom of the second row doors.
