I believe the word for this build is now "irresponsible"

Thank fook I have a roll cage to go on  may also get round to building the new 5mm chassis before I have enough money to buy everything needed for the engine :D that'd be a good thing to do I suppose! Means I wont twist the chassis when I rev

Just mainly concerned you're not gonna be able to use the horsepower

Ie it'll be **** to drive on the road so you won't be able to go particularly fast, it's a land rover

Not really much point dragging it

Not got 44" tyres or independent suspension so won't be that necessary off road

I'm ABSOLUTELY all for building the motor just thinking it deserves to be in another vehicle eventually, ideally low, lightweight and rear wheel drive!

does it matter it will never see the road :)

I'm not building HP ;) this is going to be a motor with a 5500RPM limiter on it

This build is all about the torque, got a super high torque towing cam for it just trying to find the link to it now

Its in a lightweight series with selectable RWD though and I'll probably make it more driver friendly with a few minor mods :p

Fanny doesn't really need his Lexus V8 in a 90 but this will scare the living **** out of all the local chavs :D

I protest at that comment, if I wanted acceleration I would drop ratio of transfer box-I'm looking for fair turn of speed and economy.

True but the point is that a 90 doesn't really need that engine just like my vehicle doesn't really need this engine

Chuckle 9-14 mpg in 3.5 v8 noise machine tells me that a diesel or anything is preferable to rv8.

But I recon your get 7-10 mpg less if you give it beans

Mines a toy though, for everything else I has the gti

From what I've read up the chevy will get up to 18mpg on a cruise but it'll also get about 14 if you're towing etc as it guzzles fuel either way

When all is said and done, it'll be an old land rover with a very large engine.

Take it at face value.

Bit pointless? Yes.

But 'cos I can' is what matters I guess :)
