Well im running a standard (EEK) that word....... 200 tdi rad for my trialer running a rebuilt 3.5.

Gonna get back on it now get the other side of the body done and more framing. Not the perfection or quality of Owl's masterpiece but it'll do for me.

Maybe when they're all built we should have a comp between ourselves Discomark, Jai_landrover and Evil, come up with an all rounder comp maybe at the LZ Birthday bash!

Haha sounds interesting! My jag axle needs collecting so I can finish off the rear but front props going on this week :)

Getting closer to being driven now! do need to source some wheel spacers for the front though given the modulars sit about an inch and a half further in than the series ones did

As to the 200 rad I did consider one but it was fatter and less efficient than the honda s2000 one and the same price second hand as I got this one for new!

Huh 19 ? Awkward number!

Either way it'll handle the power just fine, got some work to do making up an atomic style casing that bolts to the leafs and then I'll transplant the lot in. Haven't decided what to do about the hubs yet....either going to make up an adaptor to fit the LR wheels or I'll modify the cv drive shafts to take a landrover hub

Only one way to find out :) I would think they'd be ok given its a Salisbury and the same kind of CV design as on the L322 but only time will tell!

Worst case is I turn off some seriously beefy shafts on the lathe and mate them to equally beefy UJ and CV ends then see about any upgraded gear parts from (and I hate this word) ash crofts :puke:

How's your front axle mod coming ? Any pics yet ?

Personally i'd be looking at what alternative internals you can get before going too far. 30 or 35 spline are readily available in the states cheaply. I wouldn't bother with all that work to decrease strength. Shafts can be made from 300m material for around £225 each which is as strong as your gonna get unless you go into freezing and the like.

It's going to be an upgrade over the standard 10s at any rate! Internal wise though these jag axles seem to be favoured by hot rod builders so should be tough enough for shock losing given they drag race them. Only other way would be to use an L322 rear end but the diffs are a little weirder shape wise and not as easy to build into an axle

Now't wrong with that it looks tidy enough and with the right driver a V8 80 is a front runner

Sadly lacking the right driver!!

I think the motor will be reliable enough and tough enough but I'm falling behind if i'm honest.

Not been trialing for ages the last time was a Tyro in my old mans Disco Aka the tank as its feels soooo heavy when driving it. Tdi doesn't help matters!! It had no working difflock and the inj diaphram not connected to the turbo he sneakily turned his switch off. Bugger!

So I need some practice for sure!!
