I am planning on using my Series IIa gearbox with SIII Bell housing, is this a possible combination? The clutch push rod on my IIa is pretty much gone/knacked but I do have a complete SIII setup to use. I want to keep the IIa box as I had it reconditioned a few years ago plus I believe it's a better box than that on the SIII. However I want to use the clutch system from a SIII, so fitting the bell housing onto the IIa box hopefully will be the best of both worlds :) . I would really appreciate anyone's comments, especially if you have successfully done this. Cheers Ant

I think it depends on the age (shown by the sufix letter) of the Ser II box. It is possible because I have one, but it came from the reconditioners like that.

One quick question for someone. Once I get to the numbers/suffix. What do I want to find, to beable to mate the parts together?

I felt guilty when you said you were going to have a look, as I haven't a clue, I suspect you will have to pore over both parts books.
Hopefully someone else here will
