Having finally sorted my Landy's lights I now have a problem with the panel lights, they wont switch off. Please any ideas?

Thanks for that, looking at the wiring diagram there is a separate panel light switch as well as the 3 position toggle switch on the dash. If this is the case where is it or could the dash switch be shorting? Cheers.

You sure? Thought there should be one 3 pos switch for off/side/main lights and another 3 pos switch for off/panel/ optional interior lights. The second switch is only live when the first switch is active.

Hi, thanks for that. As I said panel lights on on all the time (battery isolated when not using to avoid drain) where is this secondary panel switch? not on the dash, mine is a 1984.

It should be to the right of the steering wheel on a panel with the hazard switch and interior light switch I think

Rather annoyingly I can find a picture but the main light switch should be be top right and the panel light is the next toggle left. There should be a red/black wire from the light switch to the panel switch then red/white wires to the panel bulbs.

Any chance of a picture of your dash cos this should be pretty straight forward.

If you can't do that then splice into a switched 12v wire from the fuse box to run the panel lights.

Cheers, There is a blanking plate to the left of the light toggle switch so will check all wiring next week when off work.
