series 2 alarm troubles !!!

Can anyone help, when i set my alarm my horn sounds once which according to the book means a door is not closed properly. I promptly checked the doors and found them all to be closed, my first train of though was the switches i've tested all switches and the readings have come back correct, i have noticed the interior light doesn't dim when i set the alarm and after a short while the alarm sounds, has anybody come across this before it's driving me crazy

I get this when I close the bonnet, then lock the doors straight away, the horn sounds. If I close the bonnet then wait say 30 seconds, its OK, in my case perhaps the bonnet switch is a bit 'lazy' but I have never investigated it further.
 
I am having the same problem, the mechanics have changed the rear door lock, and the boot lock! Its almost like the damp weather is causing some problem! Have had to take the bulbs out of the interior lights so battery wont run down. I seem to have a huge amount of condensation going onin the vehicle, im told this may be the cause????

Interesting, that happens to me too. I also notice that if you unlock and re lock as soon as its set the horn off its fine as well.

Like you I never looked into it, maybe I will one day if I ever run out of other jobs to do on it :)

Didnt u try to run circuit tests and reprogramme the whole thing via your nanocom?
 
Had my Discovery 2 at Land Rover for 2 days with the same problem. Turned out to be the censor in the bonnet clip, once detected corrected in no time at minimal cost.

Not yet, like I said its something that I have never quite got round to, but that does sound like a good idea.

You can read the status of the door inputs, so will read the bonnet whilst I open and close it to see what it says, But first its gearbox, transfer box &
both Diffs to change the fluids in. But no time this weekend. Hopefully if its dry on Monday I will get a chance.
