ALARM & INTERIOR LIGHTS PROBLEM

After having the bulkhead replaced on my (1999) TD5 110 SW the interior lights do not work on the door switches. When I alarm the car with all the doors closed it beeps to tell me the doors are open. When I open any door with the car alarmed the alarm goes off. Is there a connector between the green box and the door switches? Any ideas how to make it work properly again please?

Check the under bonnet alarm switch is straight and getting pressed down when bonnet closed.

Thanks for the reply. I tried holding bonnet switch down and activating alarm and it worked perfectly.so had to take bracket off as it was at the top of its adjustment and file the slots deeper. I put it back on and the alarm now works as it should, it has not however made the interior lights work on the door switches but unless its another easy fix I can live without them.

Check you have good connection on C378 feeds fuel tank unit and interior lights

I found the connector, split it and checked the voltage on the pin 1 and got battery voltage then reassembled it and with a pin checked the voltage on the other side and got battery voltage also. But the lights still do not work unfortunately.

So, update:
Checked C1211 all ok, checked C1210 attached and “earthing”, also checked C0355 and had battery voltage on both terminals but the thicker of the 2 (the one nearest to the bulb) lost voltage 10-15 seconds after closing the door, so I took the switch apart to see if anything was wrong inside-all seemed ok but where does the light when the doors are closed and the alarm is working it earth through? Because there was no path to the earth in the middle position the only way seemed to be down the permanent feed to the light.

The alarm ECU controls the interior lamps. The ECU (C061-1) provides a feed to the interior lamp unit (C357-1) on a purple/white wire. This informs the lamp unit to extinguish the interior lamps. When the interior lamp unit receives a reduced feed from the alarm ECU, it illuminates the interior lamps. I'm assuming you have no LEDS fitted and he light works with the switch on

No success with checking the ECU alarm connections they all seemed solid. So today I thought I would just for peace of mind check the rear interior light connections which seemed ok. Then holding the rear door switch in, I alarmed the car which was as normal. Then as I was laying on my back looking at the light, as I “unalarmed” it, the interior light flashed on then straight off. I checked and it coincided with the beginning of the long indicator flash.

No LEDS fitted and the interior light works in manual.
