sequence for fuel lines??

just put a 300tdi in my defender 90, it wont go anywhere but seems to sound fine, i think ive plumbed up the fuel pipes wrong ( ie between lift pump, fuel filter and injection pump..

can anyone tell me how there ment to go?? or even better either do me a drawing but i cant seem to find a diagram with it on.. im sure ive done it wrong ! :doh:

i just changed them so it goes from the tank into the lift pump, back to the fuel filter then from that to the REAR of the pump. ( nearest to bonnet )

and its making no difference at all.

With the engine running undo the banjo on top of the filter slightly, you should get heaps of fuel splling from it.

You say back of the pump, nearest the bonnet, i.e. the back of the engine, the fuel should go into the front of the pump up at the timing case.
