Fuel or lack of it

Humph fuel problems on 300tdi with EDC pump. Just returning from MOT which it passed and started losing power.
Changed fuel filter the seperator has been bypassed. Cleaned screen in fuel lift pump and then changed lift pump . When cranking I get fuel coming out of top of filter at union that leads to injection pump but not firing and no fuel to injectors. What's the arrangement for the fuel stop solenoid on the EDC pump or is there anything else I should be checking? Sorry for the long post

He thinks that's a long post.

Sorry mate, no idea as mine's not an automatic and just has an ornery lift pump and injection pump.

Lol I think mine might be becoming a manual pump after an investigation on Saturday

Could this possibly be some sort of an airlock?
Have you tried loosening a pipe at an injector and seeing if bubbles come out?

Hi yes I have had a fiddle today and fitted a new filter head checked all lines taken pickup out of fuel tank cleaned some bits of crap out of pick up spaced in tank. Initially got great as purt of fuel out of the bleed screw but now back to only half filled filter
