sat nav instructions 2004

Hi can anyone help, sat nav works ok but how do I see route before I choose i.e. fastest then change to an alternative one as in dose it give you more than one fastest route.
Can I see route map before choosing.

I don't think it has that function....

you can choose between fastest, shortest, most motorways, least motorways etc...but it only gives you the choice of one route....

I believe the 2005 upwards system does give multi-route options with a route map to choose rfom (as I had this in a rental Disco 3 in 2008 - used the same system - Denso I believe it is called) but the 2002-2004 system without the touch screen doesn't have that option....
