Salisbury Plain next week...?

Hi All, whilst #1 son's over from France I thought a day out on Salisbury Plain would be fun - no crazy off roading, just a gentle'ish drive around the plain.

1. I have never driven the plain, do any of you [ @flat or @Hicap phill ?? ] have any route recommendations for Salisbury Plain?
2. Do I need to notify anyone before venturing off road/onto the plain?
3. Would anyone like to join us on either Monday, Tuesday or Friday? [a bit of company would be great]
